The only real way to do it is to set a cookie for your members and use it to update a DB with the last time they logged in.  You could then take the total active users tutorial to get the total guests and members on the site, query the DB to see who has logged in the last 15 mins say and that would give you the split.

I would like a tutorial where it could display the number of active sessions for Guests and Users.

Like this:

There are (integer) users and (integer) guests
online
