Would anyone like to help build a web portal for ColdFusion like PHP-Nuke. I have most of it completed. All we really need to work on is the administration area. I could do this by myself but it wouldn't be that great if I didn't have people's opinions and suggestions. I will need people to build modules, themes, opinions, help with db, and pages. I will choose random people to help me. Everyone that volunteers will get the source code to start working on it. Also, we will need someone to support us with some hosting that has a few FTP accouts and you may restrict it to just that directory and one ODBC connection. We will then have a public release for it and this will be free. All developers will get the source code and if you are looking forward to making themes you must read the application.cfm and the load.cfm pages. For modules you should make one page that will install the module (exluding images). The menu is dynamic so all menu data is stored in a database.

Oh, don't worry, I will. I stayed up all night working on it. The administration took forever...

I kind of gave up on this project. I'm thinking of redoing the whole thing again to make it easier, more features, more configurable, and a few other things. I'll notify you when I start working on it again. It may be in two weeks because I am going to Corpus Christi, Texas in a week. Thanks for your interest though.

I checked out your http://www.bridgefsw.com/ site but it seems to be an ASP site rather than a ColdFusion one? What the dillio? Does a CF version exist? I'd like to obtain a copy of the source code for the CF version that you spoke about to see what kind of features I can add or improve. This sounds like a good project for me to use to keep my skills sharp. Email me a copy of the Portal Code yirmaster@comcast.net
